Santa on the Green - Saturday, December 3, 2011 (9 AM-3 PM)

Join us as Santa officially arrives in Hudson on Saturday, December 3 via a fire engine! Children can enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus on the Gazebo green, as well as listen to carols, shop, dine and enjoy Hudson's holiday charm. Santa will be visiting with children from 9 AM to 3 PM. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hudson.


Hudson Holiday Walk - Sunday, December 4, 2011 (12-6 PM)

Remember the old-fashioned Christmas experience as you create new holiday memories with your family! There will be live reindeer on the First & Main Green, a live nativity on the Clocktower Green, and free horse-drawn carriage rides (1-4 PM). Carolers will be singing, and Frosty the Snowman and the Gingerbread Man will be here as well! Also, Santa will be visiting - he'll be at Wild Bird Center in the Acme Plaza (12:30 to 2:45 PM), and at Prudential/Kathy Reid Realty on Main Street (3:15 to 6 PM).

The Learned Owl Book Shop
will be holding a raffle for an American Girl doll. Chances are $.50, or 3 for $1.00. All funds go to First Book of Greater Akron. Enjoy wine, cheese & crackers and candy canes.
Also, prolific author Dandi Daley Mackall will be at The Learned Owl starting at 2 PM, with her book Listen to the Silent Night.

Nicky Nicole
The Caroling Kids from ACT... A Children's Theater will be here to share a song at 2:30. And the Western Reserve Community Band will also be on hand to share their Holiday Music with us all! On Sunday, all the kids are invited to make a holiday jingle bell necklace for free. And we will be reading Elf on the Shelf at 1 PM and 3 PM. Kids of all ages are always invited to come find our magical elf in the store. Each day she hides in a new spot! Find the elf and get a sweet reward from Nicky Nicole.

Rosewood Grill
will be hosting the Seton Choir at 4 PM for holiday carols. (On December 11 at 5 PM, the Grace Notes ensemble will also be visiting with holiday carols.)

Western Reserve School of Cooking
Catherine St. John and Lisa Abraham will be on hand to sign copies of their just-released book, Famous Chefs and Fabulous Recipes: Lessons Learned at One of the Oldest Cooking Schools in America.

The Wild Bird Center of Hudson
will host Santa Claus on Sunday, December 4 from 12:30 to 2:30 PM. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Free candy canes to all children under the age of 83. Start your holiday walk at the Wild Bird Center. The Birds of Christmas slide show will be on our HD TV all Sunday featuring familiar and not-so-familiar birds that visit during the Christmas Season. This event is free to the public.
