October 20-22 - Young Actors Studio presents The Addams Family
Just in time for Halloween, the students of Young Actors Studio will perform the wacky musical The Addams Family. This comedy production features the original story of what could be every father's nightmare. Morticia and Gomez Addams want to continue living amongst death, pain and suffering, the way they always have. But then there is a change in plans. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family - a man her parents have never met. If that wasn't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife. Everything will change on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents. Show times are October 20 - 22 at 7 PM each evening with an additional matinee on October 22 at 2 PM. October 21, 5-8 PM - Opening reception at Bellabor Art Jewelry
Stop in on Friday, October 21, 5-8 PM for the opening reception of "Trees I've Known And A Few Shrubs" at Uncommon Art, 178 1/2 N. Main Street. Bellabor Art Jewelry has collaborated with two other artists and has created Jewelry especially for this tree-themed show. The show runs through November 12, and features painting, collages, and jewelry that celebrate trees and our natural world.

October 22, 1-3 PM - Editorial cartoonist Ron Hill at The Learned Owl Book Shop
Editorial cartoonist Ron Hill will sign and discuss his book Edutoons: A Jumpball Melee of Editorial Cartoons about the Politics of Public Education. Also available will be Cooking It Up in Cleveland, a new collection of four-star dishes and top-notch illustration by members of the Northern Ohio Illustrators Society.

October 22, 1-3 PM - Author Rick Niece at The Learned Owl Book Shop
Mr. Niece will be here with his book Perfect in Memory: A Son's Tribute to His Mother. The book is the final in a series entitled Fanfare for a Hometown.

October 27, 4-6 PM - Merchants of Hudson Trick or Treat
The Merchants of Hudson invite costumed youngsters to attend their annual trick or treat event from 4-6 PM along First & Main, Evaporator Works, and the Acme Plaza.

October 27, 6-9 PM - Open Mic Night at Open Door Coffee Company
Open Mic Night at Open Door Coffee Company is the last Thursday of each month, 6-9 PM. Come join our growing talent pool of musicians playing to a full house of enthusiastic listeners.
